Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes—Help us Reach Your Child’s School

We hope your holiday season was filled with joy, and we wish you and your family much health and happiness in the year ahead. As the new year begins, JDRF remains steadfast in our mission to find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D) through the support of research. Your support of our JDRF Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes program helps to ensure a better tomorrow for the millions of kids and adults living with the disease—including more than 15,000 children who will be diagnosed this year.

JDRF Kids Walk offers a way for students and teachers at your child’s school to learn about diabetes and support kids with T1D. Our program empowers them to make a difference by raising vital funds for T1D research. It’s all about kids helping kids!

We need your help to enroll your child’s school in the fight against T1D!
School nurses, administrators, teachers, and PTOs love our program because it’s easy to implement and delivers many benefits. Visit the Kids Walk website to learn more, and share your school information today. We will send you a brochure and additional information to bring to your child’s school. If you prefer, JDRF will happily reach out to your school; simply provide us with the names of the appropriate contacts.

What It’s All About:

JDRF Kids Walk program offers free education about type 1 and type 2 diabetes, as well as the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Through fundraising, students support T1D research and their school, because JDRF offers 10 percent back to each school as a special thank-you. On Kids Walk day, students have the chance to get some exercise, show support for those living with T1D, and celebrate their hard work!

As a family touched by T1D, you will surely appreciate the educational value of our Kids Walk program along with the support of your entire school community.
