Walk to Cure Diabetes

Countless devoted Family and Corporate Teams, Walkers, donors, and volunteers contribute to the enormous success of the more than 225 JDRF Walks held worldwide each year. Walkers whose lives have been touched by type 1 diabetes (T1D) come together and build a sense of community and purpose. The Walk to Cure Diabetes is a family-friendly event and features plenty of entertainment, food, and fun! Funds are raised through Corporate Partnerships, the sale of JDRF paper sneakers in retail outlets, and by individual and team Walkers obtaining donations from family, friends, co-workers and neighbors.

JDRF One Walk – Central Massachusetts

Bolton Fairgrounds, Lancaster

More than 8,000 Walkers in Boston and 3,000 Walkers in Lancaster gathered together on the weekend of October 5-6, 2013 to raise money to help JDRF fund T1D research and create a world without T1D.  Walk Day at the DCR Hatch Shell was warm and sunny; the Walk forecast is even brighter.  We are expecting to raise $1.51M for T1D research through the Boston Walk.  The rain was drizzling, but the gifts came pouring in at the Central Massachusetts Walk the following day at the Bolton Fairgrounds, where we raised $260,000 toward our mission.
