More than 3,000 Walkers gathered together at the Bolton Fairgrounds in Lancaster, on Sunday, October 6, 2013 to raise money to help JDRF fund type 1 diabetes ( T1D) research and create a world without T1D. The rain was drizzling at our new Walk site, but the gifts came pouring in at the Central Massachusetts Walk, where we raised $260,000 toward our mission.
We thank our thousands of Walkers, Team Captains, donors, and volunteers for being a part of this journey and helping us make T1D “walk this plank” this year. Every step, every participant, and every dollar raised brings JDRF closer to our goal of turning type one into type none.
Please note: Walk gifts received by Monday, December 2, 2013 are included in qualifying totals for individual fundraising rewards and Team awards. Of course, funds raised after this date will help us to increase the amount of money we are able to direct toward research to keep people with T1D healthier and safer, and ultimately, find a cure. Soon you will receive an invitation for the Walk Awards Ceremony in January where we will celebrate the success of the Walk and your commitment to JDRF.
Please contact Kelsey Morey at (781) 431-0700 or email@example.com with any questions or for more information about the Central Massachusetts Walk to Cure Diabetes. To support a Walker or a Team in the Walk, please visit walk.jdrf.org.
Special thanks to our 2013 sponsors for their support and generosity.
